TURN UP AND PLAY TUESDAY 26TH JULY 2016

Today ten ladies participated in the Turn up and Play on the Wee Course. Heather Dawson was in charge of proceedings and we ended up playing a Florida Texas Scramble. An interesting format where everybody drives, but the person whose ball is used is not allowed to play the shot and that task is left to the other team members. This takes place until the ball lands on the green when the whole team is allowed to putt. Great fun was had by all who said they really enjoyed this new way of playing a Texas Scramble

MATCH RESULTS MONDAY JULY 4TH 2016

Blairgowrie Ladies v. St Rule

This proved another enjoyable event with the St Rule ladies loving the course.  The weather was not great, but the rain was very light most of the time, making it bearable.  Once again the staff looked after the teams well and the meal was presented and enjoyed by all.  This was also another win for the Blairgowrie Ladies, 3 - 1. Many thanks to the team of Sandy Bushby, (Captain), Jacqui Landsburgh, Sheila Ritchie, Avril Smith, Doreen Johnston, Dianne Wallace, Fiona Doig and Muriel Rae.

Scratch League
Blairgowrie v. Craigiehill
The rain continued most of the day, with it appearing to get heavier just before the ladies stepped onto the first tee at 6.00pm.  Again the games were very close with 4 games going to the 18th hole. The Craigiehill players stated that the course was in great condition, with the greens being very fast.
Votes of thanks were given by the team captains following a lovely meal which was served in the dining room.  The overall result was 3.5 - 1.5 to Blairgowrie.  Heather Anderson, team Captain thanked her players of Gillian Wallace, Sue Arbuckle, Moria Lumby and Fiona Johnston.
