BLAIRGOWRIE PRIZE GIVING 2015

The Blairgowrie Prize Giving took place last night and there was a great turnout of winners and their supporters. Club Captain Robin Duncan presented the prizes to the ladies. Once all the ladies received their trophies and glasses, the final presentation was made to our Club Champion Fiona Johnston. Fiona, following tradition, made a very moving and heartfelt speech. She thanked Neil Cameron for fitting her with her clubs and giving her a couple of good golfing tips. She thanked the members for coming out and supporting all the finalists on finals day. She thanked her opponent Gillian Milne for the great match. Finally she thanked Heather Anderson for all her help and guidance and being a brilliant caddy. Afterwards our Lady Captain Kathy Cameron presented the prizes to the gentlemen and the mixed competion winners. She was then presented with a bouquet of beautiful flowers. Below are some pictures of the evening. It was very challenging for the photographer to get the attention of all the ladies for the group photo, the bottom picture shows what we ladies like to do...chat!

Next week Winter League will begin at 10.00am.  The Committee would like to remind everyone that If you decide ON THE DAY you want to play,  just come to the Locker Room  and a  Random Draw will be made for ladies playing after the Official Draw.  A Committee Member will be there, so you will have a Partner.   If you decide to come "on the day"  please come to the Locker Room  20 minutes before the last players are due to go out, to allow us time to "jiggle" those at the end.
