WINTER LEAGUE CANCELLED FRIDAY 29th JANUARY

BLAIRGOWRIE BURNS SUPPER

Last night members were treated to a truly wonderful Burns Supper. Club Captain Robin Duncan was a superb Master of Ceremonies for the evening. Brian Duncan Addressed the Haggis with much aplomb and Robin did the Loyal Toast & Grace. Lex Dunlop carried out a very interesting Immortal Memory and Laurence Blair Oliphant performed an inspirational rendition of Tam O'Shanter. Mike Mooney gave the Toast to the Lassies and Ladies' Captain Elizabeth Davie replied on behalf of the Lassies. Finally, Bill Walker, gave a hearty and very pertinent Vote of Thanks.

Elizabeth would like to thank the ladies in attendance for their kind remarks and for supporting her with much laughter through the reply. It really was a super evening and enjoyed thoroughly by all who attended.

WINTER LEAGUE RESULTS FRIDAY 23rd JANUARY 2015

Despite the gloomy damp weather, 13 ladies came out to play the Winter League on Lansdowne. The conditions were challenging as there was snow on some of the fairways. The 18th green was particularly difficult as it was covered in soft melting snow making it almost impossible to putt on. In fact the pin could not fit in the cup due to ice and it was hard for players to find the green. There were scores ranging on the 18th from 4 to 13!

The Silver winners were:

1st Mary Miller 59-9=50 (BIH)

2nd Margaret Kerr 61-11=50

The Bronze winners were:

1st Kathy Cameron 61-16=45

2nd Janet McKenzie 70-18=52
