HOLE IN ONE FOR JANICE LANG

Congratulations to Janice Lang who achieved her third career hole in one on the 9th of Lansdowne today while playing in the Ladies' Winter League. She achieved the ace using a 5 rescue wood which bounced off the top of the right hand
bunker and rolled into the hole. Her playing partners were Heather Anderson and Moira Begbie. Thanks to Moira who kindly took the photos. Afterwards Janice treated all the ladies to a celebration drink in the clubhouse.

TURKEY TROT

Next Friday, 24th October sees the Turkey Trot on Lansdowne. This is a mixed draw Stableford competition, played off 3/4 handicap and once again we will be missing out holes 7 and 8. This is our last competition before Winter League starts so sign up online for fresh air, exercise and good company!

CAPTAIN'S FAREWELL AND ANNUAL MEETING 10/10/2014

After a week of rain the day the sun very kindly came out for  the Lady Captain's Farewell Cocktail Greensomes.  It was great fun, thanks to all who played.

The  Ladies' Annual Meeting  and Prize Giving  took place in the evening in the dining room of the clubhouse.  Lady Captain Margaret Hunter gave her report and handed over to the incoming Captain Elizabeth Davie.  Elected on to the ladies committee were   Meg Marshall (Vice-Captain), Brenda Clough (Competitions Secretary) Janice Lang, Aileen Priestley and Anne Spence.  Thanks were accorded to  those leaving the committee - Meriel Walker (Secretary), Fiona Barron, Hazel Grant and  Margaret Kerr, Competitions Secretary for the last 5 years.

ANNUAL MEETING 10TH OCTOBER

Ladies, if you wish to sign up for a meal after the Annual Meeting,  the caterers have asked us for numbers by Wednesday 8th October, if possible, Thursday at the latest. On arrival at the meeting  you will  given the menu in advance to make your choice.

Remember, we are having the meeting in the  dining room this year. Any lady not wishing to have the meal is welcome to stay on  for  tea/coffee, etc.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR SCRATCH TEAM!

The Scratch Team were presented with the P&KLGA Scratch Trophy at  a  dinner at Alyth this week.  Congratulations to Heather Anderson and Gillian Wallace, leaders of the Team, and thanks to all the ladies who played this year.

ANNUAL MEETING AND CAPTAIN'S FAREWELL

IN THE DINING ROOM
Following the lifting of the 10-year VAT restrictions on the use of the dining room for Meetings, the Committee  has been advised we may use the Dining Room for our Annual Meeting 2014. A copy of the  Minutes of the 2013 Annual Meeting is available in the Locker  Room or on the main Club website under the heading : Members area - Committee Minutes

If you would like to stay on for a meal after, please sign up in the Locker Room. Anybody not wishing to have the meal is welcome to stay on for tea/coffee, chat, etc.
The cost of the Meal is  £8.50 for one course and £4.50 for a sweet.
The caterers have asked us for numbers by October8th (If there  are not sufficient numbers, we shall cancel the Meal)
If you would like to sign up, but won't be at the Club please contact Margaret Hunter, Elizabeth Davie or Meriel Walker and ask one of us to sign you up. Thanks!
