Despite a drizzly start to the opening competition: Captain versus Vice Captain, the day turned out to be a great success. Sixty nine ladies turned out to play and all said they had a great time. Lady Captain Sandy Bushby struck the first drive to get the season under way. The weather, after half an hour settled down, and there were some glimpses of sunshine. After the golf, the ladies enjoyed delicious soup and sandwiches provided by Paul and Jane. The result of the match was 11 wins for the Captain's team and 7 for the Vice Captain.
