Christmas Lunch 2010

Despite all the bad weather, 55 ladies managed to attend the Christmas Lunch. For many it was their first outing after having been stuck indoors for so many days! The day was a great success and enjoyed by all. It was the first opportunity for us to taste the delicious cooking of Paul Bjormark and we were all well looked after by Jane, Mari and Hannah. The dining room was beautifully decorated with stunning balloons which added to the festive atmosphere.

As a result of a decision taken by the Annual Meeting, Secret Santa presents were not exchanged, but donations were generously given to two charities: PKU and Pancreatic Cancer. Nearly £300.00 was raised for these two worthy causes.

The highlight of the luncheon was when the Ladies Committee entertained everyone with the Blairgowrie version of "The Twelve Days of Christmas". It proved to be so popular that everybody sang it again! Events were rounded off with a Christmas quiz. To see the pictures of the day, just click on the slideshow on the right.
